Night & Day Swing
The long lasting cooperation of the outstanding Bulgarian pianist Konstantin Kostov and the singer Agnieszka Hekiert resulted in another, musically incredibly mature album SOULNATION. A combination of Slavic soul with Bulgarian virtuosity, framed by the deep sound of the double bass (played by Grammy winner Pavel Panta) and the incredible rhythms of the drums (Grammy winner Cezary Konrad). This record touches and moves the listener, does not leave him indifferent, breaks through all barriers. Crazy improvisations are interwoven with sensitive stories, and the energy emanating from the singer herself seems to connect us with the source. One has to experience this album.

"Stories" with the participation of outstanding musicians ( including Krzysztof Herdzin on the flute) are a few stories about passing, about open windows, distance to great matters, about life, its intransigence and beauty. The album is an amazing combination of Slavic melancholy with Balkan energy. The musicians' virtuosity (great solosos by the Bulgarian pianist Konstantin Kostov and the bassists Robert Kubiszyn) are combined with Agnieszka's beautiful, deep voice, her unbelievably light movement along the scale and her energetic improvisations. The voice of Kuba Badach in the song "If only" and the flute, played by K. Herdzin in the song "Prabhakar", adds to the whole.
The album is dedicated to friends and relatives who left: Piotr, Irena, Julka, Zbigniew.

George Gershwin, Charlie Chaplin, Cole Porter but also Sting and Erika Badu Smile and What a wonderful world move and hit the heart. The album is played by great musicians, including the outstanding Krzysztof Herdzin. Jurek Małek's trumpet sounds unique and Agnieszka's warm voice colour surrounds and completes the whole.
